I wanted to make something that both Dan and I could grab for breakfast on our way to our grownup jobs. But why make something boring when you have something with chocolate. I took my banana bread recipe and added a few extra ingredients to make it “stick to your bones” and chocolate…let be honest…it always time for chocolate. This recipe lasted us all week and were still good on the last day as they were on the first day. So if you’re looking for a breakfast recipe that will put a smile on you face and fill your tummy, you’ve come to the right place.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins



1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup apple sauce

2 eggs

1/3 cup Greek yogurt

3/4 cup sugar

1 tsp. baking soda

1 cup of flour

1 cup rolled oats

2 med bananas

1 bag chocolate chips


1) Beat eggs, add sugar, butter, apple sauce, and Greek yogurt.

2) Sift flour, baking soda and add to egg mixture.

3) Add rolled oats, bananas and chocolate chips

4) Pour into lined muffin pans and bake at 350 for 15-20 mins.
